Ora Uzel is a musician/composer, fire performer and writer in southwestern Michigan. She has a Master of Music degree in Composition from DePaul University School of Music in Chicago, Illinois (2006) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in music, specializing in piano and percussion performance and composition, from Central College in Pella, Iowa (2003).

Ora's biggest musical influences as a child were Danny Elfman and Nobuo Uematsu and her music tends to sound like Messiaen, Scriabin, Stravinsky, Takemitsu, Shostakovich, Cage, or Ligeti. Her musical portfolio includes about twenty acoustic works and a couple electronic works, all composed from 1999 - 2006.

In the summers of 1999 - 2001, Ora was part of the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps (world championship finalists). She studied overseas in London in autumn 2001 and through music has toured most of the United States, several European countries, Canada, and Mexico. In 2003 she performed the piano concerto Rhapsody in Blue with the Central College Symphonic Wind Ensemble on tour in Canada. Since 2001, Ora has had a passion to work on mastering Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto.

Throughout 2006 - 2008, while living in Chicago, Ora performed fire dancing and performance art works in Chicago and the surrounding areas. She was co-founder of Sacred Spaces Camp and Pantheogenesis temple at Burning Man in 2008, and contributed to Entheon Village's Gaia Maitreya Goddess Temple in 2007. She is part of the Chicago Fire Tribe, a large group of professional and amateur fire performers in Chicago who lead the Full Moon Jams in the summers. Ora now lives and works at Ronora Lodge & Retreat Center in southwestern Michigan.

Ora's ancestors were Frisians and Bohemians who immigrated to America in the middle to late nineteenth century. Though she was raised Christian Reformed and Presbyterian, her spirituality is an amalgamation of "chaos" magic, native indigenous traditions, Asatru, buddhism, Gaianism, and agnosti-atheism. She has no beliefs, but has her suspicions and isn't afraid to hug a tree.
